Cradle of the sledging
Davos Klosters is the cradle of international tobogganing. In 1883 the first official toboggan race was held in Davos. Today, at least 8 sledge runds promise fun.
Ice sports is a tradition
Davos Klosters is a ice sports Eldorado - for active participants and spectators alike. This is guaranteed by the ice rinks of Klosters and Davos, which can be used for ice skating, playing ice hockey, curling and Bavarian curling.
You may take an easy stroll or a pacey walk along the 45 km winter footpaths in Klosters. In Davos you will find further 111 km.
Ice sports is tradition in Davos Klosters
Ice sports fans will also get their money's worth in Klosters. The open ice rink at the sports center is open daily from mid-December to around early March. On Friday, the artificial ice rink is also open from 7.30 p.m. to 10 p.m. With our guest card, the use of the open ice rink is free (except curling). In the sports center there is an artificial ice curling alley with 4 rinks as well. Curling tournaments take place here regularly. The rinks can also be rented for private tournaments.
Europe's largest natural ice rink was legendary in Davos. Young and old can now expect a 4000 m2 “ice dream” with various “themed experience areas” and guaranteed a lot of fun.
Take the opportunity and visit a game of the HCD. The ice hockey club Davos or HCD, as it is called by the fans, is a record Swiss champion. The game season starts in September and championship games are held weekly during the winter months. The "Spengler Cup", the traditional ice hockey tournament with 6 top teams, takes place every year from December 26th to 31st. This year the national team of Switzerland and the Olympic team Canada will be there.
